Who is ProlongWealth?
ProlongWealth was making trading videos long before prop firms had a YouTube genre of their own. His oldest upload, from May 2009, shows off the 8 GB quad-core day-trading computer he had just built, and it is still his most-watched video. Seventeen years on, he is best known for a single word. PATHWAY is the discount code that works at every firm on his PropFirmSave.com deals site. It also names the idea he has championed all along: a pathway to a funded futures account. Around it he has built a free Discord of more than 9,200 traders.
The story starts with a show. In late 2011 he and a co-host announced StockJocknRoll, a markets-and-sports site with the tagline "Stocks and Jocks are how we roll." Its stated purpose was to teach traders to "Plan, Prolong, and Protect Investments," a motto whose middle word was already part of his handle. From the fall of 2013 the StockJocknRoll Show went out live on DayTradingRadio.com, settling by late 2014 into Wednesday nights from 9 pm to midnight Eastern. It mixed market prep with sports, music and life. The archive on his channel includes a three-hour Traders Round Table and an on-air test of the then-new Robinhood broker in December 2014. NinjaTrader and the Kinetick data feed were partners of StockJocknRoll, and they remain the platform and feed he recommends today.
By 2022 his focus had turned to prop firms. He had grown a Facebook group of more than 3,500 traders around evaluation discounts. That September he gathered the group’s questions and put them to Apex Trader Funding founder Darrell Martin, and a second interview followed in January 2023. Then came the tutorials. His setup guide for the Replikanto trade copier on NinjaTrader passed 11,000 views, and his reviews of prop-firm programs and payouts drew thousands more. In 2024 he hosted a live show, "Prop Firm News You Can Use," and copy-traded the open across funded accounts on camera.
His own trading is fast and rule-bound. He scalps Nasdaq futures on a one-minute chart, mostly with the trend, using an algo that runs in his Discord. He sizes every target to the VIX. His prime window is 9 to 11 am Central, after the first half hour of the session. Since returning to live YouTube in July 2025, he has gone live whenever there is something worth explaining, such as Apex’s full program overhaul in March 2026. Saturdays, in his words, are "no screen Saturday."
The daily conversation happens in the Discord, which dates to 2019, and on X, where he posts new deals almost every day. Members get deal alerts the moment they drop, trade ideas from the morning session and frequent evaluation giveaways. In October 2026 he moved his deals hub to PropFirmSave.com. The site tracks 17 futures firms and four perps firms under one code, plus the cheapest all-in 50K accounts and a market-news page. His reviews put the trader’s interest first. In his October 2026 TradeDay review he urged viewers to build a buffer before taking a day-one payout. Off the charts, his channel is a scrapbook of road trips through the Badlands and Colorado, Cardinals spring training and Auburn football. His old site’s masthead put it in three words: trade, travel, live. He has carried one mission from internet radio to Discord. Fifteen years after setting out to help traders plan, prolong and protect, he is still doing exactly that.
How ProlongWealth trades
A one-minute scalp, with the trend
ProlongWealth scalps Nasdaq futures on a one-minute chart, and he says the same approach fits 30–40 tick range bars or 1,000–1,200 tick charts. His algo reads the trend first, through a cloud built from moving averages, ATR, and support and resistance. The cloud turns green or red, and he takes longs in a green cloud and shorts in a red one. Chop with no defined trend is a "do nothing." The stair-step moves inside a clean trend are where he finds his A+ setups.
The rest of the chart is confirmation. Heikin-Ashi candles, tinted by an RSI reading, help him stay with a move, and a slower MACD-style panel adds momentum. Buy and sell markers come from an ATR calculation with a volatility multiplier. White lines flag overbought and oversold conditions. He treats those as an exit cue, or occasionally as a counter-trend scalp with a very tight stop. Either way, they work best when the signal lines up with the cloud. The algo is never a standalone trigger. He tells members to use it in confluence with their own strategy, and he finds its best edge between 9 and 11 am Central.
Targets set by the VIX, risk set by rules
Targets scale with volatility. On NQ he looks for about 25 ticks when the VIX sits between 12 and 16, and 30 to 40 ticks between 16 and 21. On ES the same bands translate to four and five ticks. Above a VIX of 21 he pares risk down to one-lot micros, scaling in and out, and above 25 he usually sits out altogether. Scaling in is reserved for trades with the trend. "Don’t DCA to death," he tells members, a lesson drawn from the accounts he lost early in his career trying to average his way out of holes.
The execution layer is built for funded accounts. He trades on NinjaTrader and copies each trade across accounts with the Replikanto copier, which he prefers because it gives him a clear view of every account. He rarely moves a stop to break-even, since that tends to get him stopped out. Instead he takes the first contract off and accepts a scratch on the runner. On payouts he preaches patience: build a cushion between balance and drawdown first, because at some firms a withdrawal resets the trailing drawdown.
