Today he streams NQ every weekday from 9:20 am Eastern, gives away indicators and bot code, and runs Prop Firm Gorilla, a free site for comparing prop-firm plans.
IN DANIEL'S WORDS

Who is Daniel Inskeep?
Daniel Inskeep calls himself the anti-guru. In July 2020 he opened his YouTube channel to find out, on camera, which ways of making money online work for an ordinary person. Fiverr gigs, print-on-demand shirts, NFTs and an Airbnb build in Joshua Tree all got their turn, and he reported the misses as plainly as the wins. Day trading is the one that stuck. Six years on, the channel has 296,000 subscribers and almost 24 million views. What began as an experiment is now a free live stream of Nasdaq futures every weekday morning, plus a free site that helps traders compare prop-firm plans.
Video was his craft long before trading. In 2017 he and his wife launched Mango Street, a photography and filmmaking channel that passed 500,000 subscribers in its first year and later a million. In August 2026 the couple closed the channel with a farewell video, calling it “our dream job.” He also makes music under the name Generation Lost and licenses it to other creators. The hustle goes back further still. In high school, he writes, he slept outside a Best Buy to get PlayStation 3s to resell online. His trading began with put options in March 2020 and a GameStop position the following winter. He credits part of that run to beginner’s luck and set out to learn how to be consistently profitable.
His first futures challenge came in January 2021, when he set out, with no experience, to grow a small account. It ended with an honest admission that he had failed, and it is still his most-watched upload, at 4.3 million views. The challenge became his signature format. That December he spent seven days head-to-head with Trades by Matt, both starting from the same balance, and thanked Matt “for schooling me at futures.” That video has passed 1.5 million views, and a second edition followed in 2024 with Carmine Rosato as the professional. Back in 2022 he shared the five lessons he credits with transforming his trading, and in 2023 a three-part series on the Topstep Combine ended with him funded.
The live stream grew out of that series. It starts at 9:20 am Eastern, 8:20 in Chicago, and runs about two hours through the New York open. The focus is NQ and its micro contract, and lately ES as well. Titles such as “CHILL VIBES ONLY” set the tone. By February 2025 he was trading five funded Topstep accounts on camera. This autumn’s replays log evaluations and funded accounts at several firms, and he shows the red days along with the green. In 2025 he also launched Prop Firm Gorilla, a one-person project (“Us? It’s just me,” its About page says) that lines up the rules and prices of up to five prop-firm plans side by side. The site hosts free indicators and links to his free Discord of nearly 2,000 traders.
In 2026 he has kept experimenting in the open. In the spring he added a run of streams on 15-minute bitcoin prediction markets, and in May he reran his first challenge, five years on. In September he released a free multi-timeframe supply and demand indicator. Two weeks later he published the code that turns his strategy into a bot: an open-source bridge from TradingView to NinjaTrader 8. His advice cuts against his own niche, too. Prop firms, he writes, “are not for beginners,” and they suit traders who are already around break-even. That candour, a camera that stays on through the open, and free tools in place of a course are why traders keep showing up at 9:20.
How Daniel trades
Supply and demand through the New York open
Inskeep day trades the first two hours of the New York session, mostly in Nasdaq-100 futures and the micro contract, with the E-mini S&P joining them on recent streams. The five lessons he credited in 2022 with transforming his trading still read like a checklist: market first, supply and demand, relative strength and weakness, sizing down, and buying pullbacks. His own indicator builds zones from basing candles and the impulse that follows, with adjustable inputs for impulse size, close-in-range strength and basing-candle size.
That indicator, released free in September 2026, plots zones across eight timeframes, from the 15-minute chart up to the daily. Each zone is tagged with the timeframe it came from. A zone disappears once price trades through it, so the chart shows only levels that are still valid. It runs in MotiveWave, which he calls the best futures trading platform for Mac users, and on TradingView.
Funded accounts, a copier and a bot
Most of the trading happens in prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts, often several at once through a trade copier, a setup he walked through in a December 2025 tutorial. His 2025 guide to passing evaluations covers choosing an account and a platform, reading the rules and the setups themselves. In his Shorts he calls daily loss limits “account savers.” His video descriptions are clear about which trades were taken on evaluation or simulated accounts.
In September 2026 he automated the strategy. TradingView runs the logic and sends a webhook on every order fill, and a small NinjaTrader 8 add-on receives the alert. A companion strategy places the orders, keeps a resting stop and target as a backstop, and flattens at a set New York time. The code is free on GitHub, and its instructions tell every user to start on the Sim101 simulation account. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
See how the wider prop-trading field is positioned in NQ while you study a method like this: MarketFramework's Positioning Edge shows live long/short splits across ES, NQ, MES and MNQ from real evaluation and funded accounts, and Prop Backtest scores strategies against prop-firm rules.
