BEST KNOWN FOR
The free morning session, every trading day
Alex goes live on YouTube for the New York morning on every US trading day: thirty streams in the thirty trading days from 19 August to 30 September 2026, each drawing 10,000 to 15,000 views. He trades Nasdaq futures on funded prop-firm accounts while narrating entries, exits and the reasons he passes on a trade. Around the stream sits his Flow Zone method, a location-and-momentum approach built on EMAs, anchored VWAP, volume profile and Bookmap order flow. He teaches it through a 40-chapter course, a Volume Profile and Order Flow course and a private Discord, and the site holds a 4.9 Trustpilot score from 119 reviews. His tutorials travel further than most: a July 2026 lesson on spotting trapped traders with Bookmap has passed 197,000 views and his Volume Profile masterclass has passed 100,000.
IN ALEX'S WORDS
“2 leg pull backs are one of my favorite set ups to play for momentum plays. They allow the market to retest key levels like low volume nodes or SnR levels, I then watch orderflow to look for absorption before joining the momentum for continuation!”
YouTube, October 2026
“Most traders don’t need more indicators, more setups, or more screen time. They need a better process.”
YouTube, September 2026
“Trade With Confidence. Trade With a Plan. Trade in the Flow Zone.”

Who is Flow Zone Trader?
Most futures streamers arrive from a desk job. Alex arrived from the DJ booth. By his own account on the ASFX podcast in August 2025, he turned down a finance job to ride the wave with his UK dance duo Tough Love, touring the world until the pandemic shut live music down in 2020. He had been short selling small-cap stocks on the side. With the gigs gone he went all in on the markets, found that one deep, liquid Nasdaq contract suited him far better than a scanner full of tickers, and began shaping the approach he would later name the Flow Zone. He publishes under the channel name and his first name only.
The Flow Zone Trader YouTube channel opened in September 2023 and taught from day one: an anchored VWAP beginner guide in November, a pullback-trading tutorial a few weeks later, and a free 31-minute beginner course in December. By early 2024 he had packaged the method into a 20-hour, 40-chapter course with a lifetime Discord membership and his own TradingView indicators. An opening-range-breakout tutorial that April became an early hit. By October 2026 the channel stood at about 142,000 subscribers, 1,017 uploads and 4.2 million views. Two lessons from July 2026 have done much of the recent lifting: a nine-minute Bookmap walkthrough on spotting trapped traders, now past 197,000 views, and a six-minute TradingView routine comparing semiconductors, the Magnificent 7 and software, past 122,000.
The engine of the whole thing is the live stream. He is on air Monday to Friday for the New York morning session, roughly 9:15 am to noon Eastern, and he does not miss. That meant thirty streams in the thirty trading days between 19 August and 30 September 2026, each titled by date and each watched by 10,000 to 15,000 people. He trades NQ, with ES and QQQ on the screen, on funded accounts at Apex Trader Funding, Take Profit Trader, Lucid and Tradeify. He calls the setups as they form, explains why he is standing aside as often as why he is entering, and stays on after his own trading is done to walk through levels for whoever is still watching. Daily evaluation giveaways are part of the furniture. In August 2026 he gave away fifty Apex accounts in one go.
Students describe a teacher first and a trader second. Trustpilot carries 119 reviews of flowzonetrader.com at 4.9 out of 5, 98 per cent of them five stars. The recurring story is the same: someone found the free morning stream, watched for weeks, then bought the course because he was patient with every question in chat. The curriculum runs from fundamentals and market structure through smart money concepts, supply and demand, market maker models and psychology to a playbook chapter. A separate Volume Profile and Order Flow course covers auction theory, delta, footprint charts and Bookmap. The indicators grew alongside. Flow Zone Pro for NinjaTrader and TradingView plots weekly, daily and Globex levels, the opening range and initial balance, and his momentum and deep-pullback clouds. Spectra Pro, released in August 2026, adds a full footprint and order flow suite.
What makes him worth following is the mix of range and restraint. The same channel that teaches gamma exposure and market breadth to intermediate traders posts thirty-second Shorts telling beginners to stop rushing. The man who was once paid to keep a dance floor moving now preaches process over outcome: master one setup, trade small while you learn a firm’s rules, ignore the leaderboards. His sign-off line doubles as the thesis. Trade with confidence, trade with a plan, trade in the Flow Zone.
How Alex trades
Location first, then momentum
The Flow Zone method, as Alex describes it, reduces to two questions: is price at a location that matters, and is momentum confirming? Location comes from a stack of levels his indicators draw automatically: the previous day’s and week’s high, low, open and close, the Globex range, the opening range and the initial balance, together with volume profile value areas, low-volume nodes and classic support and resistance. Momentum comes from his EMA clouds, the "Flow Zones" that give the channel its name, read across multiple timeframes with anchored VWAP as the mean.
A favourite entry is the two-leg pullback: let the market retest a key level such as a low-volume node, watch the order flow for absorption, then join the continuation. He also trades opening range breakouts, initial balance setups, trend continuation and failed-breakout reversals, and moves stops to breakeven quickly once momentum confirms. The whole session is framed by options positioning (gamma exposure, put and call walls) and market breadth, so he knows whether an index move has participation behind it.
Order flow, prop accounts and the morning window
Execution is read on Bookmap and footprint charts: absorption at levels, trapped buyers and sellers, imbalances, delta divergence and unfinished auctions, the raw material of his Volume Profile and Order Flow course and his Spectra Pro indicator for NinjaTrader. He trades the New York morning only, primarily NQ with ES and QQQ for context, on funded prop-firm accounts. His advice to prop traders is to master one setup, size small while learning a firm’s rules and resist chasing leaderboards.
Charts run on TradingView and NinjaTrader, with Bookmap for depth. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
See how the wider prop-trading field is positioned in NQ while you study a method like this: MarketFramework's Positioning Edge shows live long/short splits across ES, NQ, MES and MNQ from real evaluation and funded accounts, and Prop Backtest scores strategies against prop-firm rules.
