BEST KNOWN FOR
Every trading day, live at the open
Alpine Trader streams the Nasdaq open on YouTube on essentially every US trading day: seventeen of the twenty in the month to 14 September 2026. He trades a stack of funded prop-firm accounts through a copier and narrates an opening-range scalp he has honed to 25–30 ticks. His most-watched videos are the practical ones every funded trader searches for: what the consistency rule means, how long an Apex payout takes, why he moved from Tradovate to Quantower. Patrick Wieland flew him in to trade on the BDH floor in 2025, Trades by Matt hosted him at the open in 2026, and Feedspot ranks him fourteenth among futures YouTubers to follow this year.
IN ALPINE'S WORDS
“This is my unique ORB strategy using the opening range volatility to scalp 25–30 ticks consistently at the very open.”
YouTube, February 2026
“Day trading is one of the hardest things we do, but one of the most rewarding. Never give up, as an EMT I learned to always pursue my dreams, and as long as we have health for ourselves and our families, everything else we can overcome.”
YouTube, January 2024
“Your trading journey is yours. Mine is mine.”
YouTube, April 2025

Who is Alpine Trader?
Alpine Trader publishes under his channel name only. What he does share is a life outside the charts. He is a former EMT ("as an EMT I learned to always pursue my dreams") who runs a DJ business on the side and credits it with keeping him in the game long enough to make trading work. A car enthusiast, skier and New York Rangers fan, he opened his YouTube channel in 2015 and traded small-cap stocks before the volatility in that corner of the market pushed him into futures in 2023.
Futures suited him. Within months he was funded at Apex, TickTick, Bulenox and Leeloo, and by early 2024 he was documenting payouts, milestones and the mechanics of running twenty or more funded accounts at once. The channel passed 15,000 subscribers in April 2024, on a day he says also brought a $49,500 payout request and an earthquake. By September 2026 it sits at 28,500, with more than 3.5 million views across 828 uploads.
The format is the live stream. He goes live at the 9:30 am Eastern open on essentially every trading day, runs for two to three hours, and titles each replay by date: "9.14.26 Day Trading Futures w/ Prop firms." The 2026 goal, stated on stream, is a stack of ten to fifteen daily-payout accounts, and September’s titles track the run: "$1000 daily payout reached again, 9 days in a row". Each time he hits the number, a Take Profit Trader evaluation goes to a viewer. "Member Monday Giveaway" and "Trap Tuesdays" are fixtures of the week.
The strategy is his own opening-range approach, "no ICT," as he puts it: use the volatility of the first minutes to scalp 25 to 30 ticks, copy the trade across every account, and be done. His most-viewed videos are the ones every funded trader eventually searches for: an explainer on the consistency rule, a full timeline of how long an Apex payout takes, a walkthrough of copy-trading multiple accounts for free. His is also the channel that persuaded a wave of prop traders to switch from Tradovate to Quantower with multiple Rithmic connections.
The peer group has noticed. In March 2025 Patrick Wieland brought him to the BDH Day Trading Floor in South Florida for two days of live trading watched by more than 85,000 people. In August 2026 Trades by Matt hosted him at the open. The free Alpine Trading Fam Discord has close to 3,000 members, and Feedspot lists him among the top fifteen futures YouTubers of 2026. He has become the model for a particular kind of trader: not a guru, just a working guy who shows up at the open every day with the camera on, wins, losses and payouts all on the screen.
How Alpine trades
The opening range, scalped
Alpine trades the first minutes of the cash session. His opening-range approach reads the volatility of the open (the initial push, the trap, the range that forms) and takes a scalp of 25 to 30 ticks on NQ or MNQ. ES and YM stay on the screen for confirmation. By September 2026 his stream titles were calling the setup the “Opening Momentum Trade”. He describes it as his own ORB method rather than any imported framework, and "Trap Tuesdays" is the weekly reminder that the first move is often the wrong one.
Because the target is small and the setup repeatable, the edge scales by repetition rather than size. The same trade is copied across a stack of funded accounts, each with its own daily-payout rules, so one clean scalp can be a payout on several of them.
The stack and the tools
The account structure is the other half of the method. He has run twenty to thirty funded accounts at once and currently favours daily-payout accounts at Take Profit Trader. He executes through Quantower with multiple Rithmic connections and a copy trader, a setup he has documented in tutorials that remain his most-watched videos. His rule explainers on consistency rules and trailing drawdown are the practical companion pieces.
Losses are streamed too, and he is candid that daily payouts and daily discipline are the same thing. As with every trader profiled here, the method is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
See how the wider prop-trading field is positioned in NQ while you study a method like this: MarketFramework's Positioning Edge shows live long/short splits across ES, NQ, MES and MNQ from real evaluation and funded accounts, and Prop Backtest scores strategies against prop-firm rules.
