One setup, every morning, in front of a crowd

Tempo has built a career and a 14,000-member Discord on a single ICT setup: wait for the market to sweep an hourly or four-hour high or low, then enter on the inversion fair value gap that forms against the sweep, ideally with SMT divergence between NQ and ES. He trades it on Nasdaq futures across a stack of prop-firm accounts, live at the 9:30 am Eastern open every weekday. The lesson has become a free IFVG course, a five-hour beginner curriculum that is one of his most-watched uploads, and a Whop community rated 4.97 from more than 900 reviews. He tells the origin story himself: a broke 17-year-old in 2020, more than $20,000 lost on options in 2022, and then ICT concepts clicking in 2023.

Who is Tempo Trades?

Tempo publishes under his channel name and introduces himself the same way everywhere: “24 year old ICT trader. I’ve been trading for 4 years and hope to help other traders either discover ICT’s concepts through me or improve their use of these concepts. Nothing more.” The modesty is deliberate. Where much of trading YouTube sells complexity, Tempo has spent four years narrowing his trading to a single setup he can explain in a sentence. His audience has grown around the repetition: 50,900 on Instagram, 27,700 on X, 21,000 on TikTok and 8,200 on YouTube.

The origin story comes from his own timeline post in January 2026. In 2020 he was, as he puts it, a “broke 17 year old trying everything to escape the traditional 9-5 life.” In 2021 he skipped college to bet on himself. In 2022 he lost more than $20,000 trading options and “felt hopeless, lost, and confused.” In 2023 he found Inner Circle Trader’s concepts, moved from options to futures, and started over. He consumed hours of ICT material a day and worked through funded accounts until the inversion fair value gap became the one pattern he trusted. He remembers his first prop-firm payout, on Apex, the way other people remember a graduation: closing the trade the moment he became eligible, walking downstairs and hugging his mom.

The method is the IFVG model, and he is unusually candid about how little else he uses. No moving averages, no trendlines, no breaker blocks, no order-flow heatmaps: “All I use is liquidity and IFVG’s,” he wrote in October 2025. The routine is the same every session. Mark the one-hour and four-hour highs and lows, wait for the New York open to sweep one of them, then enter on a 30-second to three-minute inversion fair value gap that forms against the sweep. SMT divergence between NQ and ES is the preferred confluence, and the opposing liquidity pool is the target. He trades it in the 9:30 to 11 am Eastern killzone, favours one clean trade over many, and copies it across a stack of funded accounts, a “base hits” philosophy he credits with changing his results more than any single big day.

The community grew up around the live sessions. His Whop membership, Tempo Trades, has been joined by 17,100 members and carries a 4.97 rating from 904 reviews. Its promise is simple: “Trade live with me everyday week day at 9:30am EST.” Members watch entries and exits in real time with the reasoning narrated. They also get a full ICT course covering IFVGs, SMT divergence, risk and psychology, one-to-one calls, and his TradingView indicator, which marks IFVGs, fair value gaps and SMT automatically. Around it sit a free Discord of roughly 14,000 members, billed as the “Official IFVG Trading Server,” a free IFVG course at tempoeducation.com, and, since August 2026, public NQ live streams on YouTube.

On YouTube the catalogue splits between trade recaps, psychology talks and tutorials: the five-hour “How To Start Day Trading As A Beginner In 2026” course, “The NEW Way to Find Daily Bias in 2026,” “The Ultimate 2026 Liquidity Tier List,” and a 56-minute live backtesting session of his model that drew 8,600 views in its first week. He posts the losing weeks too, with the same framing as the winning ones. Two Porsche 911s, a Carrera S in 2024 and a GT3 in 2025, are the visible rewards. The message underneath is more durable than the cars: find one setup with an edge, execute it mechanically every morning, and let the repetitions do the work. For a generation of traders who found ICT through YouTube and were overwhelmed by it, Tempo is the one who made it small enough to trade.

How Tempo trades

Sweep, then inversion

Tempo’s model starts with liquidity. Before the open he marks the previous one-hour and four-hour highs and lows and the session highs from London and Asia, and reads higher-timeframe bias from which pool price is most likely to reach for. He then waits for the New York session to sweep one of those levels. The entry is an inversion fair value gap: a fair value gap that price trades through and then respects from the other side, on a 30-second to three-minute chart, forming against the direction of the sweep. A candle close through the gap is the trigger, the stop sits beyond the protected swing or the gap itself, and the target is the opposing internal or external liquidity, typically one to two times the risk.

Setup quality is the filter he teaches most. Singular, well-sized gaps count; clusters of overlapping gaps are a trap. SMT divergence between NQ and ES at the level, price trading in a discount or premium of the range, and a strong initial reaction all raise a setup from tradable to A-plus. News days get their own variant, the “data wick” reversal, where the spike on a release sweeps the level and the inversion follows.

One window, many accounts

He trades the New York killzone, 9:30 to 11 am Eastern, and is usually done within the hour, with an occasional afternoon session when the morning offers nothing. The same trade is executed across a stack of prop-firm evaluations and funded accounts, so a single clean entry is scaled by repetition rather than by size. His descriptions name Lucid Trading, Apex and Take Profit Trader as his current firms, with Bulenox and MyFundedFutures in earlier rotations, and he has published tier lists ranking the firms he has tried.

He logs his own win rates, in the high seventies to low eighties over multi-month stretches, and shares the records as free PDFs with followers. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
