Who is Carmine Rosato?
Carmine Rosato is a full-time futures day trader and trading educator based in New Jersey. He has been trading since 2016, when a high school class project building a model stock portfolio first drew him to the markets. Today he teaches intraday futures technique to a YouTube audience of roughly 228,000 subscribers, built over eight years of near-continuous publishing.
His public work centres on order flow: reading live auction data through the depth of market, heatmap and footprint charts. He describes his own approach as "price action mixed with order flow." The framework he teaches most often, Context, Location, Confirmation, uses order flow to confirm or reject a trade idea rather than to forecast direction. That distinction is the thread running through most of his teaching. Order flow, in his framing, is evidence for a decision you have already reasoned toward, not a prediction engine.
Rosato left Manhattan College during his sophomore year to trade full time. He told Business Insider he made the move only after reaching an income threshold he and his father had agreed on beforehand. He has described the appeal in plain terms: control over his own time rather than a conventional career path. The same publication reported that it had reviewed income statements he provided showing months with six-figure income.
He runs the education company InvestiTrade, which offers a self-paced course and a higher-tier academy with live sessions and weekly coaching calls. He is also a listed instructor at Chart Academy, where he teaches two masterclasses, Futures Trading Fundamentals and the Order Flow Masterclass. One of his most-watched pieces of content anywhere is not on his own channel: a long-form order-flow masterclass filmed for Chart Fanatics in late 2025 has drawn more than 400,000 views. That comfortably outperforms anything he has published himself in the past four years.
Rosato is also unusually open about the hard months. Among futures educators who put profit figures in video titles, he publishes the losing stretches too. A 2025 video walking through a $30,000 drawdown and the single mistake behind it sits in the same library as his winning-trade breakdowns. In September 2026 his best-performing upload of the year was a candid account of a month he says began roughly $25,000 down before he recovered. That balance is rare in a niche where the incentive runs entirely the other way.
What sets Rosato apart is generosity with the craft. Eight years of near-continuous publishing, a masterclass filmed for another channel that outdrew his own, and a willingness to walk through his drawdowns as openly as his best months. Together they have earned him something rarer than subscribers: the trust of traders who have watched him work through every kind of tape.
How Carmine trades
The CLC framework: context, location, confirmation
The organising idea in Rosato's teaching is a three-step sequence he calls CLC: context, location, confirmation. Context is the broader read, whether the session is trending or balanced, where the day sits relative to prior value, and what the higher timeframe implies about who is likely under pressure. Location is the specific price where a trade becomes worth taking: a supply or demand zone, a low volume node, an untested level from a prior session. Confirmation is the order-flow evidence at that level, and it comes last on purpose.
The sequencing matters more than any individual signal. A trader who leads with confirmation ends up chasing every large print on the tape. One who leads with context and location has already narrowed the day to a handful of places worth considering, and uses the tape only to decide whether to press or stand down. Rosato's framing of order flow as a tool to "confirm or reject" rather than predict follows directly from that ordering.
Order flow: absorption, liquidity walls and stop runs
The order-flow signals he returns to most often are absorption, liquidity walls and stop runs. Absorption is the pattern of aggressive market orders hitting a level repeatedly without price moving through it. It is evidence that a passive participant is soaking up the flow, and often a precursor to a reversal off that level. Liquidity walls are large resting orders visible in the depth of market or on a heatmap. The question he teaches traders to ask is not whether the wall exists but whether it stays as price approaches. A wall that pulls is information; a wall that holds and absorbs is a different kind of information.
Stop runs are the flush through an obvious level where retail protective orders cluster, followed by rapid rejection. His teaching treats these as location events first and confirmation events second: the run has to happen somewhere that already mattered on the chart. The tooling underneath is standard for the discipline, with footprint charts for delta at each price, a heatmap for resting liquidity over time, and volume profile for identifying the low volume nodes that price tends to move through quickly.
Supply and demand zones: the foundation content
Before the order-flow material, Rosato built his audience on supply and demand zone tutorials, and those videos remain his most-viewed work. The zone-drawing guides alone account for well over a million views combined. The method is the familiar one: identify areas where price left a level with unusual speed, mark the origin of that move, and treat a return to it as a decision point rather than an automatic entry.
The older content still matters to anyone reading his newer work because the zones are the "location" half of the CLC framework. His order-flow material assumes the viewer can already identify a level worth watching; the supply and demand library is where that skill gets taught. Traders working through his catalogue generally get more out of it in that order.
Instruments, session and risk
His current focus is index futures, primarily the E-mini S&P 500 (ES) and Nasdaq-100 (NQ) contracts and their micro equivalents, traded intraday. Earlier content covered equity options and index ETFs such as SPY and QQQ on the ThinkorSwim platform, which is where his single most-viewed video still sits. The recent catalogue is almost entirely futures and order flow.
He has described a short, front-loaded trading day concentrated around the New York morning session rather than a full-day screen presence. As with all self-described routines and results, MarketFramework reports this as his own account. Futures trading involves substantial risk of loss, and no framework described here should be read as a recommendation.
