BEST KNOWN FOR
Volume Profile for where, order flow for when
Gabriel, who publishes as Price Action Volume Trader, is the educator traders find when they search "how do I actually read a volume profile". His 2022 "#1 Volume Profile Long and Short Trading Rule" has passed 219,000 views and its 2024 remake 169,000, and his explainers on absorption, cumulative volume delta and Sierra Chart footprint setup each sit above 100,000. The pairing he teaches is simple to say and hard to master: Volume Profile tells you where, order flow tells you when. Because he is also a software developer, the charts in the videos are for sale as ready-made Sierra Chart chartbooks and custom indicators. And for five years, two or three uploads a week have arrived, in his words, "with no outside help".
IN GABRIEL'S WORDS
“Planning, recording and editing 2-3 videos every single week with no outside help. I’ve never done low quality click-bait content just for the sake of trying to gain followers. Just focusing on quality trading education and informative content.”
YouTube community post, spring 2026
“I started actively trading in 2017 in the crypto and forex markets before transitioning to day trading CME futures in 2019. I now mainly focus on trading Futures and Perpetual contract Prop Firms.”

Who is Price Action Volume Trader?
Most trading educators teach one thing. Gabriel builds the tools as well. He introduces himself on his site in a single line, "I am a day trader, software developer and content creator", and those three jobs run through everything he publishes under the Price Action Volume Trader name. There is a YouTube channel of Volume Profile and order flow lessons, a set of courses on how he trades ES and NQ, and a store of Sierra Chart chartbooks and custom indicators, so students can open the exact charts they just watched him use.
He started, as he tells it, "actively trading in 2017 in the crypto and forex markets before transitioning to day trading CME futures in 2019." The X account opened in March 2020, the website was live by that November, and on 8 August 2021 he opened the YouTube channel. Six days later he uploaded a 43-minute "#1 Volume Profile Guide: Complete Beginner Introduction", which has since been watched more than 55,000 times. The channel grew on patient, long-form tutorials rather than hype. The hour-long "#1 Volume Profile Long and Short Trading Rule" from March 2022 is his most-viewed video at 219,000, and the 2024 remake added another 169,000. "Using Orderflow To Identify Absorption & Reversals", "Cumulative Volume Delta", "Biggest Mistake to Avoid in Volume Profile Trading" and a step-by-step Sierra Chart footprint setup have each cleared 100,000. By October 2026 the channel stands at 64,100 subscribers, 423 uploads and 3.58 million views.
The method is a pairing he summed up in an August 2026 title: "Volume Profile = WHERE | Order Flow = WHEN". The profile, read daily, weekly and composite, gives him value areas, high-volume nodes and the low-volume-node zones he draws as his highest-probability levels. Order flow tells him whether a level is holding when price gets there, through footprint charts, delta volume profiles, CVD divergence and absorption on a heatmap. He day trades E-mini S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures in both the overnight and regular sessions, trades Bitcoin on longer timeframes, and keeps gold on the screen, charting everything on Sierra Chart with TradingView and Bookmap alongside. He is candid that Sierra Chart has a steep learning curve, which is exactly why he started publishing his own chartbooks. The store now lists more than thirty of them, from a $7.50 depth-of-market layout to the 12-chart day-trading setup, plus indicators he coded himself, including an LVN Zones detector and a Risk and Discipline Assistant released in September 2026.
The teaching sits in four courses on his own platform: Day Trading with Volume Profile and Orderflow, Trading with Price Action and Volume Profile, Trading with Market and Volume Profile, and Trading with Fibonacci and Market Structure. They are bundled together for $495 and sold with lifetime access, a customised Sierra Chart file and a private student Discord. Student reviews on the course site average 4.9 to 5.0, and the business holds a 4.5 TrustScore on Trustpilot. He does not offer one-to-one mentoring, and says so plainly: he simply does not have the time. What he added instead, in spring 2026, is a Premium Market Analysis membership on YouTube, a weekly in-depth read of ES, NQ, gold and Bitcoin with levels and a bias. He moved it there from a private Discord to make it cheaper for everyone. Free weekend "This Week’s Key Levels" videos rotate through whatever members ask for, from crude oil and silver to Euro Stoxx and Micron.
The cadence is the quiet achievement. In a community post as the channel approached 60,000 subscribers he wrote that he had been "planning, recording and editing 2-3 videos every single week with no outside help" for five years. He had "never done low quality click-bait content just for the sake of trying to gain followers." The 2026 output bears it out. There was a July premiere updating his absorption lesson with new charts, guides to LVN zones and cleaner profile settings in August, and a September test of whether TradingView volume profiles are accurate that drew 10,000 views. There were live ES and NQ sessions at the New York open, and a run of prop-firm explainers covering how he connects funded accounts to Sierra Chart, how end-of-day and intraday trailing drawdowns differ, and the new perpetual-contract firm Vest Markets. He trades prop-firm accounts himself, reviews each firm he partners with, and gives evaluations away at subscriber milestones. For traders who want order flow explained slowly, and the charts handed to them ready to open, Gabriel has become the reference.
How Gabriel trades
Volume Profile for where
Gabriel starts from Auction Market Theory: time, price and volume show where the market accepted value and where it rejected it. He reads daily, weekly and composite volume profiles for the point of control, value area edges and high-volume nodes. He pays particular attention to low-volume nodes, the thin areas a profile leaves behind, which he marks as zones and treats as his highest-probability reaction points. Profile shape matters too: his lessons on "B shape" and "P shape" days teach when to fade an edge and when to expect continuation.
Many of his most-watched videos are about the mechanics behind the levels. Which profile settings keep levels clean, why a TradingView profile and a Sierra Chart profile can disagree, how to adjust the lookback so the zones that matter are the ones on the chart. The weekly analysis videos apply the same read to ES, NQ, gold and Bitcoin for the sessions ahead.
Order flow for when, on Sierra Chart
Once price reaches a level, order flow decides the trade. He watches footprint charts for absorption, meaning large volume at a price with no progress. He reads delta volume profiles for where buyers or sellers won the auction inside the bar, cumulative volume delta for divergences between effort and result, and a heatmap for resting liquidity. His 2024 "Using Orderflow To Identify Absorption & Reversals" and its 2026 update, "Using Orderflow Absorption to Spot High-Probability Reversals", are the core of the approach; "CVD Divergence Explained", published in October 2026, covers when the signal works and when a trending day overrides it.
Execution is intraday on ES and NQ, in the overnight and regular sessions, across personal accounts and futures prop-firm accounts. Sierra Chart is the primary platform, with TradingView and Bookmap alongside, and his own chartbooks and indicators (Footprint Absorption Detector, Delta Divergence Detector, LVN Zones, Risk and Discipline Assistant) do the marking. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
