Peter Kennedy is the rare futures streamer who works both ends of the clock. He is live on YouTube at 9:20 am Eastern for the New York open every weekday, then back Monday to Thursday at 5:50 pm Eastern for the Asia session, trading Nasdaq-100 and gold futures on camera. Around the streams he has built the most useful free utility belt in prop trading. The PropKings Discord and website carry a Payout Calculator, a Consistency Calculator and a Risk Calculator covering seven firms. His library of plain-English "Everything You Need to Know" explainers on pricing, rules and payouts has drawn more than half a million views in nineteen months. He is 23, a husband and a new father, and Lucid Trading liked him enough to put him on its own channel for a Father’s Day golf outing.

Who is Peter Kennedy?

Most futures streamers pick one session and defend it. Peter Kennedy works two. He goes live on YouTube at 9:20 am Eastern for the New York open, Monday to Friday, and trades the first hour with his chart and his positions on screen. Then he comes back Monday to Thursday at 5:50 pm Eastern for the Asia session, where gold futures share the screen with the Nasdaq. He is 23, married and a new father, and he has traded futures for more than five years, which means he was still a teenager when he placed his first contract. His X bio needs nine words: "Husband + father + futures trader. Daily LIVE trading (NY + Asia Sessions)."

The channel opened on 9 March 2025 and the first upload arrived the next day: "My Strategy For Day Trading Nasdaq Futures," five minutes, no music, just the method. The videos that followed were the ones a new trader actually needs: a beginner’s guide to candlesticks, how to identify zones, support and resistance, the volume indicator, liquidity sweeps, Fibonacci levels, how to set goals, and the three worst mistakes unprofitable traders make. At the same time he was running a community called Longhorn Trades, streaming on Twitch under the same name and hosting members on Whop. His introduction there still reads: "My name is Peter Kennedy. I’m 23, have a wife and baby boy. I’ve been trading futures for over 5 years and have been fortunate enough to be able to retire my mom at 20 years old." The Whop listing shows 6,500 people joined and a 5.0 rating from 120 reviews.

What made the channel travel was the explainer format. From July 2025 he began publishing "Everything You Need to Know (Pricing, Rules, Payouts)" videos on individual prop firms, and the audience found him through search. The Tradeify and Alpha Futures explainers from that summer each passed 22,000 views, the January 2026 three-minute guide to copy-trading on Tradovate passed 35,000, and the April 2026 Lucid Trading explainer, his most-watched video, passed 65,000. He updates them as the rules change ("September 2026 Update"), compares firms head to head, and explains the mechanics that trip people up: trailing drawdown, consistency rules, activation fees, daily payouts. Seventy-four long-form uploads have drawn more than 553,000 views, and the channel passed 9,000 subscribers in its nineteenth month.

In the summer of 2026 the community grew into PropKings. The Discord is free and, as he put it on X in August, "Somebody is SPAMMING eval giveaways in my discord (it’s me)." The website, propkings.com, is where the explainers become tools. There is a Payout Calculator that shows the fastest route to a first payout at each firm, a Consistency Calculator, a Risk Calculator and the week’s economic calendar. The current partner codes sit there too, all under a single code, PK, that he uses across Lucid Trading, My Funded Futures, Tradeify, FundedNext and Apex. The firms have noticed. In June 2026 Lucid Trading put him on its own channel for a Father’s Day golf outing with its host AJ, in which, the description notes, "Peter rinsed AJ."

The trading itself scales by repetition rather than size. He reported $66,000 on Apex across twenty funded accounts in a single stretch in 2026, copying one trade across the stack. His recaps, like September’s breakdown of a 200-point Nasdaq short, show the same levels-and-fibs approach he taught in his first video. Since 18 September 2026 the daily streams have been archived on YouTube, forty-five to sixty-five minutes each, titled simply "LIVE DAY TRADING FUTURES." He is young, he shows up twice a day, he gives the tools away, and a generation of prop traders who learned the rules from his videos now watch him trade by them.
