Who is Oscar Fontecha?

Oscar Fontecha makes all of his content in Spanish, and that is the heart of what he offers. For the Latin American and Spanish trader who wants to watch someone trade Nasdaq and gold futures live, in their own language, on funded prop-firm accounts, with the chat open and nothing cut from the replay, he is the daily appointment. His channel opened in March 2016 under a broad "negocios online, finanzas e inversiones" banner. By 2022 it had narrowed to the thing he is known for now: futures, funding firms and the mechanics of getting paid, explained to people who had no Spanish-language source for any of it. "Cuando yo comencé no había la información concreta para iniciarse en el trading de futuros," he writes in the description of his Hotmart course, and the whole channel reads as an attempt to fix that for the next person.

He came to futures from forex, a switch he explained in a 2024 video called "¿Cambiando de Forex a Futuros? Aquí está la razón", and describes himself as a trader of seven years. The early guides were tools rather than opinions: how to open free NinjaTrader accounts and enter funding evaluations, which NinjaTrader indicators are worth installing, how to receive payouts through Deel, a free automated Excel journal for evaluation accounts, and an automatic calculator for the consistency rule that still trips up funded traders. Each of those videos sits between 13,000 and 26,000 views, large numbers for a niche inside a niche. His most-watched upload of all is the March 2026 guide to Lucid Trading, past 36,000 views, followed closely by his 2026 Apex Trader Funding guide on passing the evaluation and collecting a first payout.

The channel became a live channel in 2026. Every weekday morning at 9:00 am Eastern he opens a Nasdaq futures stream that runs an hour and a half to two hours. It is titled either "#1 Day Trading en VIVO Futuros Nasdaq ¡El MEJOR!" or "El Day Trader de Futuros Más Visto en YouTube EN VIVO!". Every weekday evening at 7:30 pm Eastern he comes back for gold under the title "El Mejor Trader del ORO Opera en VIVO! Solo se vale GANAR". The motto, only winning counts, is delivered with a grin. The replays, two a day on every trading day of the month, draw three to nine thousand views each. Milestone streams carry titles like "Aprobando 20 Cuentas de Fondeo EN VIVO" and "Así Puedes GANAR Hasta 50 Cuentas de Fondeo Operando en VIVO", the multi-account evaluation runs that his audience of prop-firm hopefuls tunes in for.

Around the free streams he has built a small, well-reviewed ecosystem. The Trading Room on Whop, listed from Bogotá and sold as "Trading en Vivo" at $25 a month, promises real-time guidance, his "Curso Intensivo Inicial" for beginners and access to prop-firm giveaways. More than 1,200 people have joined and it holds a 4.9 rating from 247 reviews. "Mi pasión es enseñar a otros a operar con confianza, simplificando estrategias," the storefront says. His Hotmart course, "Todo Sobre el Mercado de Futuros por Oscar Fontecha", is the step-by-step version of the same material. The Telegram channel "Empresas de Fondeo (Descuentos)", with close to 2,300 subscribers, is where he has posted monthly prop-firm discounts and his free spreadsheets since 2023. It plays the same role his earlier Solo Fondeo website did, a Spanish-language directory of funding firms. His bios on Instagram and TikTok carry a single code, OSCAR, across the firms he works with.

He describes himself as a professional trader who has put in the years. A June 2025 video of a week trading and travelling with his brothers captures the tone he brings to all of it: "No se trata solo del dinero. Se trata de vivir bajo tus propias reglas, con la gente correcta al lado." For a Spanish-speaking audience that has long had to learn futures and prop-firm trading from English-language creators, Oscar Fontecha matters because he shows up twice a day, in their language, with the chart on screen. He has done so for long enough that the replays now form a complete, free, Spanish-language record of what trading funded Nasdaq and gold accounts actually looks like.
