BEST KNOWN FOR
ICT for Dummies and the 9:30 Patty Swing
Patrick and Blake’s twelve-part ICT for Dummies course, pitched as a strategy "so simple, even your grandma could learn," has drawn close to 1.9 million views. Patrick’s own signature is the 9:30 Patty Swing, one trade a day at the New York open. The setup reads pre-market accumulation, a manipulation at the bell and an inversion on the 30-second or 1-minute chart.

Who is PB Trading?
Patrick is the P in PB Trading. The B is Blake, his best friend of more than eight years and the person who taught him to trade. Together they built a brand that blends trading education with comedy, from skits about trading life to a free Whop community of more than 84,000 members. Patrick runs the PB Trading YouTube channel. He introduces himself there as "PB Trading, also known as Patrick," and teaches the Nasdaq futures setup he calls the 9:30 Patty Swing to nearly 150,000 subscribers.
Trading came after a run of ventures that taught him more than they paid. He got into crypto early, tried a rug-making business and, in high school, started a clothing brand with his father’s help. He calls those years of trying and failing the best of his life. In 2022, on a summer trip, he glanced at Blake’s phone on the beach and watched him take a trade. Patrick asked to copy him. Blake refused and sent him every video he had studied instead. Patrick watched them all, then joined Blake on FaceTime at the open every morning. As he tells it, his first payout came within five months, and real consistency arrived around month ten.
University nearly took him another way. He was a straight-A student in business and finance, with a minor in data science, at a school that alternated classes with work terms. His résumé was all ventures, plus a stint teaching futures with Blake as an analyst in a stocks Discord. More than 70 job applications produced a single offer, a marketing analyst role. About six weeks in, he stepped out of the office and called his father, expecting to be torn apart. Instead his father asked whether he would regret quitting to go all in. Patrick said no. He quit, took a year off school, lived alone and gave trading everything. He calls it his monk-mode year.
Teaching came next. The PB Trading channel opened in September 2024. In November the pair launched ICT for Dummies, a twelve-part course that runs from candlesticks and market structure to liquidity, fair value gaps, SMT divergence and daily bias. It has drawn close to 1.9 million views. In the summer of 2025 they hosted the PB Trading IRL Boot Camp. Three struggling traders shared a house for five days, each trading a funded Alpha Futures account, with profits deciding who slept in the master suite. In January 2026 Patrick launched PB Theory, a series on the concepts he developed himself. Its aim is to make viewers self-sufficient traders with a model of their own.
Away from the charts he is a musician and a car enthusiast whose Porsche began as a goal he wrote down. He plays guitar and piano, released the single "Ephemeral" as Luvlace in 2026 and opened a second channel, Mr Luvlace, for music, cinematography and travel vlogs. The life he is working toward is a house in Italy with a vineyard, vintage cars, pets and a guitar to play outside every day. Back on the charts, what sets PB Trading apart is how openly it trades. Big days and tough months both make it onto the channel, often with a joke in the title. Every lesson returns to the idea that made Patrick a trader: learn one model from someone you trust, master it, then make it your own.
How Patrick trades
The 9:30 Patty Swing
Patrick trades Nasdaq-100 futures in the New York morning and usually takes one trade a day, close to the open. The setup he calls the 9:30 Patty Swing has three beats. Price accumulates in the half hour before 9:30, manipulates toward a key level at the bell, then turns. He enters on the inversion of a gap on the 30-second or 1-minute chart and rides the distribution that follows.
His filter is what he calls structure and displacement. He wants a clean manipulation leg without a stack of fair value gaps inside it, then candles that drive hard through the gap being inverted. He moves his stop to break even at the nearest 5- or 15-minute gap or intermediate high and holds for the draw on liquidity. A good trade, as he puts it, plays out in three to five minutes. Many days bring no setup at all, and on those days he does not trade.
Foundation, narrative, scenario
The work happens before the bell. On the higher time frames he sets a foundation (the facts of the trend) and a narrative, such as an unfilled 4-hour gap that price may want to reach. Then he drops to the 5- and 15-minute charts to write scenarios: the places price could manipulate to at the open before he will take a trade. NQ is his main focus, and he checks ES to confirm the S&P is positioned to move the same way.
His PDI model builds on Blake’s mechanical model. The PB Theory series covers the rest of the toolkit: liquidity, inverse fair value gaps, structure, risk management, journaling and handling losses. He journals in TradeZella and reviews past sessions in FX Replay. He is also quick to say that even a strong system suffers when psychology and routine slip. That is why his videos make real time for sleep, habits and patience, not just charts. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
