Who is PJ Trades?
PJ Trades is a full-time Nasdaq futures day trader who describes himself as a ten-year professional and trades only NQ and ES. In a 2025 interview with the journaling platform TradeZella he traced the road: forex in 2016, then options, metals, crypto and stocks, then futures during the 2020 lockdowns. It took four years to reach break-even before consistency arrived, and he credits that stretch for a process he now describes as "robotic, methodical, and boring."
He became a public creator only in early 2025. The YouTube channel opened on 4 January 2025, and TikTok and a Discord followed within weeks. Growth was rapid. By September 2026 the Whop-hosted community had passed 51,000 members with a 5.0 displayed rating from nearly 2,500 reviews, while Instagram and TikTok reached 258,000 and 194,000 followers respectively. His most-viewed content is short-form: one Short from April 2026 has nearly two million views. His most-watched long video is a January 2026 comparison of prop firms.
The teaching is ICT-derived and built around a handful of named models. The IFVG Model pairs a liquidity sweep and a sharp V-shaped recovery with an entry at the inversion fair value gap, checked against higher-timeframe gaps. In November 2025 it became a TradingView indicator, developed by Flux Charts in collaboration with him. Later models include the Connecting Flight and the Continuation, and his rules are deliberately narrow: one session, the New York morning, with trading done after one win or two trades.
He is also one of the most connected creators in the prop-firm world. His code PJ unlocks discounts at ten firms: Alpha Futures, Apex, E8 Markets, FTMO Futures, FundedNext, FuturesElite, Lucid Trading, MyFundedFutures, Take Profit Trader and Tradeify. His streams are often built around funded-account giveaways for members. A FuturesElite partnership was announced in August 2026, and a Lucid giveaway stream followed in September. The community offers a premium tier, a starter course and one-to-one sessions, and the IFVG indicator is available through Flux Charts.
Few creators have earned this much trust this quickly, and the reason is on the stream every morning: every confluence explained, every entry and exit called live, and a process he describes as boring by design. How PJ trades
The IFVG Model
The model PJ is best known for reads a reversal in three beats. First, price sweeps an obvious pool of liquidity, a prior high or low where stops cluster, and fails to continue. Second, it recovers sharply in a V shape, leaving behind a fair value gap, the three-candle imbalance that ICT-style traders watch. Third, price returns to that gap from the other side, and the gap "inverts": what was support becomes resistance or vice versa. The entry is at the inversion, with the stop beyond the sweep and the target at the next draw on liquidity.
He validates the setup against higher-timeframe fair value gaps and executes on the 1-minute chart, where he says his average trade lasts about seven minutes. In his own ranking of ICT concepts, the V-shaped recovery, the IFVG and the "unicorn" combination score highest, with breaker blocks and changes in the state of delivery close behind.
One session, few trades, a written record
The rules around the models are as important as the models. He trades one session, the New York morning from 9:30 to noon Eastern, skipping the first fifteen minutes, and stops after a single win, after one win and one loss, or after two losses. The stated purpose is to remove the decisions that cause overtrading rather than to catch every move.
He is unusually vocal about journaling and checklists, a theme TradeZella built its feature around: a pre-entry checklist before any trade, and a post-session review written "like a coach, not a critic." He also argues for active trade management over passively letting stops and targets resolve, and advises newer traders to earn payouts on prop-firm capital before funding their own accounts.
