Who is Mighty Ox Trading?

Mighty Ox Trading runs two desks at once. Every weekday morning the host, who goes by Ox, trades futures live on YouTube with his P&L on the screen. Around that stream he runs a deal desk that follows the futures prop firms closely: the sales, the rule changes, the new plans and what each one really costs. His channel calls the brand "the ox in a suit" and "not a hype guru." One of the values printed under every stream reads "Education first, then monetization."

The streams began on Twitch on 2 September 2021. He opened the YouTube channel ten days later, was streaming there by early October and eventually dropped Twitch. The early sessions ran long. He marked his first year on air with a nine-hour stream from the London session through the New York morning, a format he still brings back. By 2023 the research side had taken shape. That July he published a series comparing commissions at a dozen major prop firms for every asset class, from index futures to agriculture. In November he started a daily index of the cheapest evaluations at one standard account size. He is proud, he says, to have brought the comparison sheet to the space, and glad that other creators have run with it.

In February 2024 he launched the Futures Prop Firm Discount Snapshot, a short rundown of every current sale, and that November he started the MOT Interview Series. Over the next year he sat down with the people running Phoenix Trader Funding, The Futures Desk, Legends Trading and Elite Trader Funding, among others. His March 2025 Top 10, still his most-watched video, set out how he ranks firms. He weighs time in business, payout history and whether the owners are visible and treat traders well. He also looks at the path to live funding, the range of accounts and drawdown types, how strict the rules are, how many hoops stand before a payout, and price. Commission is not on the list. "I really don’t care about commission percentage or personal friendships," he said. Firm-by-firm reviews followed, each explaining why a firm placed where it did. The 2026 version of that work is mightyoxtrading.app, launched in late September. The site ranks firms by true cost-to-funded, meaning evaluation and activation fees less the discount that actually applies. It also carries calculators, plan guides and a Trading 101 primer with an order-book simulator.

The trading is the part he holds closest. He trades mainly Nasdaq futures (NQ and the micro MNQ) and adds micro gold where a firm allows it. His stream titles count thirty-six funded accounts. He shares that side in full, setbacks included, because he believes other traders need to see that a long climb is not theirs alone. In June 2025 he talked prop firms, pressure and progress on the NOFOMO podcast. That October he tested himself in public, joining about twenty creators in TradeDay’s first Influencer Cup, among them Uncle Bugatti, Cove Trader, ProlongWealth and Zero Day Jay. On day 17 he stood third on the evaluation leaderboard.

The show runs from about 7:45 to 11:30 am Eastern on weekdays. Co-host Melody, who joined in August 2026, comes on before the open. On Mondays he is back in the evening for Monday Night Ox. He describes the stream as "like a family in there." The MightyOxTrading Discord has about 2,400 members, from beginners to veterans of twenty years or more. For his fifth anniversary in September 2026 he ran giveaways across Discord, X and the live stream, and promised more reviews, interviews and plan-by-plan breakdowns. His work answers the first question every would-be funded trader asks: which firm, which plan, and what it will really cost.

How Mighty Ox trades

Nasdaq first, sized in micros

Mighty Ox trades mainly Nasdaq-100 futures (NQ and the micro MNQ) through the New York morning, with metals, energies, crypto and agriculture on the watchlist. Micro gold is his second market where a firm allows it. In March 2026 he set out a plan to spread markets by firm, with micro gold on one, ES or MES on another and micro copper on a third. NQ’s thinner book, he explained, would not take size across many accounts without slippage.

Size follows volatility. He trades micros and sets the count by the day’s average true range: one or two when an account has little room, up to five micros or one mini when it has more. He sits out the most extreme sessions. Micros once felt like a punishment to him. Now he calls them responsible trading. In 2026 he began taking more entries from the five-minute chart, still watching the one-minute, and working on holding trades for larger targets.

A stack of accounts, traded in groups

The account structure is the other half of the method. In February 2026 he sorted his funded accounts by remaining drawdown into tiers he calls critical care, ICU, red and green, and gave each tier its own risk per trade. He trades them through a copier in groups of five or ten, never all at once, so that one bad session cannot reach the whole stack. In the same plan he put his P&L on the stream screen and opened Discord channels for his results and the trades he takes.

His advice to viewers follows the same logic. Reviewing TradeDay’s QuickPay accounts in October 2026, he told traders to start with one account, prove they can manage it and get paid consistently, and only then scale. Early payout access, he said, is an option rather than an objective. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
