Who is Fede Esses?

Fede Esses built a Spanish-language trading following on a single entry model. On Christmas night 2023 he discovered the inverse fair value gap, or IFVG, which he says marked a new paradigm for him. Days later he posted “La Mejor Estrategia Para Hacer Day Trading En 2024 - ICT x SMC” [The best day-trading strategy for 2024], now past 134,000 views. Today the 20-year-old, whose full name is Federico Esses, trades Nasdaq futures from Buenos Aires for about two hours a day. He teaches the same model for free to an audience of 97,500 YouTube subscribers, 246,000 Instagram followers and a Discord of about 39,000.

He is candid about how it started. During the 2020 lockdown, he writes, he lost his direction and spent twelve hours a day gaming. Online business looked like a way out, so he tried reselling, software and sales, thirteen business models in all, and none of them worked. Trading stood out because funded accounts meant he needed no capital of his own. He started while still at school, trading the New York morning between exams, and stayed with it through more than two years of losses before that Christmas night.

He opened his YouTube channel in May 2023, still in his teens. The first uploads that July included a beginner course and ICT’s Silver Bullet explained in Spanish. After the breakthrough the channel became a public lab. In January 2024 he began a day-by-day funding challenge built on his IFVG model, with live Nasdaq futures sessions. He posted backtests of the model, one of them on gold, and lessons on the three types of IFVG entry. From February 2024 he also filmed his students’ stories in a series called “Alumnos Fede Esses” [Fede Esses students]. In September 2025 he opened a second channel, Fede Esses Trades, to post his live trades, losing days included.

The Esses Bootcamp is the centrepiece. From 17 February to 7 April 2025 he published fifty free lessons, one a day, as a “Curso De Trading Desde Cero” [trading course from scratch]. The lessons start with patience and candlesticks, move through liquidity, the IFVG and CISD, and go on to journaling, backtesting and opening an LLC. Day 1 is now his most-watched video, past 374,000 views. Around the course sit the free Fede Esses Trading Discord and Esses Club, his paid community and mentorship, which members join after an application call. More than 6,500 people have joined Esses Club on Whop, where it holds a 4.7 rating from 115 reviews. His site says more than 1,000 members have come through his live sessions.

Every day brings several new Shorts, and the channel has passed 1,500 uploads. Between them come prop-firm guides, live masterclasses and, since August 2026, “Cómo es invertir en...” [What it’s like to invest in...] videos on real estate, imports, capital markets and crypto. On Kick, where 18,200 people follow him, his bio promises trading explained from scratch for free, good company and good music. He spent one October 2026 stream teaching his barber to trade. Traders Hub, which published his talk at Traders Day in Argentina, calls him “uno de los traders más jóvenes e influyentes del mundo hispano” [one of the youngest and most influential traders in the Spanish-speaking world]. Mítico Podcast, HU TALKS and Bitcoin Argentina have all sat down with him since, and on his own channel he has brought on DodgysDD to talk about scaling. For Spanish-speaking beginners, that adds up to a full curriculum at no cost, taught by a young trader who documents the process in public.

How Fede trades

The IFVG at the centre of an ICT model

Fede Esses trades with ICT and Smart Money concepts, which his titles shorten to “ICT x SMC”, and uses the inverse fair value gap as his entry model. A fair value gap is the imbalance left by a fast three-candle move. When price later closes through the gap instead of respecting it, the gap is inverted, and old support can act as resistance or the reverse. He taught the three types of IFVG entry in 2024 and followed up in 2025 with the two he rates most effective. His 2025 explainer “¿Qué es un iFVG y cómo usarlo para mejorar tus entradas?” [What is an iFVG and how do you use it to improve your entries?] has passed 63,000 views.

The context comes first. The Bootcamp builds it in order: market hours, structure breaks, liquidity and liquidity sweeps, fair value gaps, order blocks, daily bias, SMT divergence, the IFVG, quarters theory and CISD. His one indicator is ICT Killzone & Pivots, which a 2025 title calls “el ÚNICO indicador que uso” [the only indicator I use]. He backtests in public, from IFVG sessions in 2024 to a full month of October 2025. The model keeps evolving. A new version for 2026 arrived in November 2025, and in August 2026 he released what he called his definitive strategy for the year.

Nasdaq sessions, copied across funded accounts

His market is the Nasdaq-100 future, NQ, traded in set session windows. As a schoolboy he traded the New York morning between exams. In May 2026 he published a strategy for the Asian session, and in his September 2026 Mítico Podcast interview he talked through trading the Nasdaq session by session. His channel sums up the routine in one line: “Opero 2 horas por día” [I trade two hours a day].

His scale comes from copying. Each trade is replicated across a stack of funded prop-firm accounts with a trade copier. He teaches the set-up in “Cómo replicar tus trades en varias cuentas de fondeo” [How to replicate your trades across several funded accounts]. The stack has grown in public, from more than 20 accounts at the end of 2025 to 30 by June 2026 and 47 by September. On Mítico Podcast he described running them with conservative risk. In a June 2026 interview he called accepting losses the hardest skill, and the Bootcamp has lessons on journaling and on taking a trade without letting emotions decide it. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
