Leo’s site compares 13 futures prop firms on price, drawdown, profit split and payout rules. It is available in Spanish and 14 other languages and keeps a discount list that is checked daily. In October 2026 it added a free trading journal, a Risk Guardian and open-source indicators for NinjaTrader 8. His account giveaways on X are decided by the closing price of Nasdaq-100 futures, and he publishes the numbered entry list and the arithmetic for anyone to check.

IN LEO'S WORDS

“La lista se publica antes de que el precio exista. El precio del NQ no lo decide nadie. Haz tú la operación y te dará el mismo ganador. [The list is published before the price exists. Nobody decides the NQ price. Do the calculation yourself and you will get the same winner.]”

“Un consejo: no te fijes en el tamaño de la cuenta, que es marketing, sino en el drawdown real, que es lo que decide si la cuenta aguanta o la quemas. [A tip: ignore the account size, which is marketing, and look at the real drawdown, which decides whether the account survives or you burn it.]”

Who is El Trader Financiado?

El Trader Financiado explains futures prop firms in Spanish. Leo Basanta built it around one idea. "Creé El Trader Financiado con una misión clara: aportar transparencia y honestidad a un sector que a veces puede resultar confuso" [I created El Trader Financiado with a clear mission: to bring transparency and honesty to a sector that can sometimes be confusing], he writes on the site’s About page. He has traded futures since 2019, working from Asturias in northern Spain. Early on he ran into what he calls the biggest obstacle for any trader: a lack of capital. Five years ago he found futures prop firms, and he has been trading with them and studying them ever since.

He opened the YouTube channel and the @ElTraderFinan account on X in May 2022. From June he published a short Spanish explainer nearly every week. He walked viewers through the Earn2Trade Trader Career Path, set out what Uprofit, TickTick Trader and Leeloo Trading offered, and explained how payouts worked at Apex Trader Funding and Bulenox. Comparisons followed, including a video that picked each firm’s best account by ROI and by a difficulty ratio. In December 2022 he ran his first giveaway, offering three evaluations from Apex, Bulenox and TickTick Trader. His January 2023 update on Apex payouts is still the channel’s most-watched video.

The channel grew into eltraderfinanciado.com, a comparator that lines up 13 futures prop firms on cost, drawdown, profit split and payout rules. It ranks them by price, value for money, trader level and rating, and keeps a discount list that is checked daily. Around the comparator sit reviews, beginner guides, a news desk on rule changes and notes on 46 trading books, all in 15 languages. Before a firm is listed, Leo trades on its platforms to check execution, reads the fine print on drawdown, scaling and payouts, and weighs what the community reports. In October 2026 the site added free tools, among them a trading journal that follows each evaluation’s rules. For NinjaTrader 8, a Risk Guardian locks an account at its limits and a risk-reward box sizes contracts from the stop. There are indicators too, eleven by mid-October, all open source under the MIT licence. "Los hemos programado para nuestra comunidad de traders de prop firms y los regalamos con el código abierto" [We programmed them for our community of prop-firm traders and give them away as open source], the tools page explains.

The community gathers in a Telegram group of about 4,400 members and on X, home of the giveaways. Since July 2026 Leo has run more than twenty giveaway rounds, with accounts from Lucid Trading, Apex Trader Funding, MyFundedFutures, Take Profit Trader, Tradeify and Earn2Trade. He buys the account packs for the giveaways himself, as his history page notes. The site counts more than 178 funded accounts handed out so far, including prizes from a free daily contest to predict the Nasdaq close. Since late September the X draws have followed a public formula. The numbered entry list is frozen two hours before the market closes. Then the closing price of Nasdaq-100 futures picks the winners, and anyone can repeat the sum on a phone.

He is a working trader too. In spring 2026 he streamed the New York open on YouTube for 36 of the 37 sessions between 27 April and 17 June. On those streams he traded micro Nasdaq and S&P futures on funded accounts at several firms. Just as openly, he publishes his own ledger with the prop firms. Drawn from their dashboards and receipts, it lists every evaluation bought and every payout collected. That habit of showing the real numbers is why the project works. In Leo, a Spanish-speaking trader gets one person who reads the fine print, builds the tools, runs the draws in the open and says plainly what to expect.

How Leo trades

Order flow at the New York open

Leo trades the US cash session from Spain. Through spring 2026 he went live on YouTube at about 15:15 Spanish time, a quarter of an hour before the 9:30 am New York open. Most sessions ran two to three hours, and he kept the rhythm for all but one trading day from 27 April to 17 June. His instruments were the micro contracts, MNQ and MES, with the full-size NQ on the first day.

The method is order flow. His first session spelled out the setup: scalping Nasdaq-100 futures during regular hours in ATAS on a Rithmic feed. The description promised live entries, exits and position management, and "cómo leo el flujo institucional con Big Trades, CVD y Stacked Imbalance" [how I read the institutional flow with Big Trades, CVD and stacked imbalances]. From late May he traded several funded accounts at once, and the stream titles named the firms: MyFundedFutures, Alpha Futures, Lucid Trading and Take Profit Trader.

The account before the entry

His wider lesson is about the account rather than the trade. The site tells newcomers to judge an evaluation by its real drawdown, not its headline size, because the drawdown decides whether the account survives. His tools page describes a prop trader living with four problems at once: passing the evaluation, not burning the funded account, keeping the books straight and improving month by month. Each one gets a tool. The NinjaTrader add-ons, in the site’s words, "quitan al trader de la ecuación cuando es exactamente el problema" [take the trader out of the equation exactly when the trader is the problem]. Track Record closes the loop by working out the return on each firm from what a trader pays for evaluations and collects in payouts.

He applies the same arithmetic to himself. His history page, built from firm dashboards and receipts, keeps a public running count of the evaluations he has bought, the accounts that reached funded status and the payouts he has collected. It shows newcomers what the path looks like from the inside. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.

See how the wider prop-trading field is positioned in NQ while you study a method like this: MarketFramework's Positioning Edge shows live long/short splits across ES, NQ, MES and MNQ from real evaluation and funded accounts, and Prop Backtest scores strategies against prop-firm rules.
