Who is Tweakin Trades?
Tweakin Trades films the ordinary week of a prop-firm trader, start to finish. Since May 2024 he has posted a recap almost every Sunday, walking through Monday to Friday in order and narrating every entry, exit and change of heart. Green days and red days get the same airtime, and the payouts land harder for it. That mix of candour and humour has carried the channel to 20,500 subscribers and more than 1.5 million views.
The channel opened in June 2022, when he tried options for a month or two and lost the lot. His first upload put it plainly: "I had no clue what I was doing, and I still don’t, but I was confident in my non-existent skills." He came back in April 2024 with a $2,000 account and numbered every week from there. In week 8 he moved from QQQ options to Micro Nasdaq futures on NinjaTrader. When that account ran dry in October 2024, he turned to the plan he had written for himself: demo trading and backtesting as Phase 2, then a prop firm as Phase 3. He started the Topstep 50K Combine on 10 December and passed it on his first attempt after 14 trading days, with the funded certificate dated 30 December 2024. That recap is still his most-watched video.
Since then the recaps have followed the accounts. He was funded with MyFundedFutures in February 2025 and tested its new Eval to Live account in March. In January 2026 he requested his first MyFundedFutures payout on camera, and in February his first with Alpha Futures. He moved to Lucid Trading in May and announced his first Lucid payout in his second week there. The trading itself is discretionary. He takes a bias from the overnight move and key levels, then enters on a pullback to the 1- or 5-minute moving average. Once a trade has room, the stop goes to break-even. He talks through every decision on screen as he makes it.
The production is a large part of the charm. He appears as an animated VTuber character. The intro and outro scenes and emotes are the work of other artists, and he credits each one by name in a public spreadsheet linked from his descriptions. His titles land like punchlines, from "Just Take The Base Hit Man…" to "I Put Myself in Eval Jail to Save Money." The descriptions kept score as well. From October 2025 to March 2026 each one carried a running ledger of money spent on prop firms against money made from payouts. In the last entry, on 22 March 2026, he counted $30,255 in payouts against $22,689 spent.
The rhythm rarely breaks. Since May 2024 he has published 125 videos, 118 of them on a Sunday. In spring 2026 he added live streams of the New York and Asia sessions too. Back in his first video of 2025 he set himself a goal of 5,000 subscribers. He now has more than four times that. His Discord, Tweakin Traders, has 712 members. His descriptions put the promise simply: "I try to show up every week looking for a payout." For anyone curious what the prop-firm path looks like from the inside, week after week, Tweakin Trades is an honest guide, and very often a funny one.
How Tweakin trades
Moving-average pullbacks inside a daily bias
He trades Nasdaq-100 futures, both NQ and the micro MNQ, mostly in the New York session. Each day starts with a bias. He reads the overnight move and where price sits against key round-number levels, then leans bullish or bearish depending on whether those levels break or hold. Entries come on pullbacks: a rejection off the 1-minute or 5-minute moving average line, ideally at an area that also matters on the 15-minute chart. In his 4 October 2026 recap he took exactly that setup on the short side and held it for a target of about 25 points.
Trade management is where he puts the work. Stops move to break-even once a trade has room, winners are trailed, and he often calls it a day once a set profit is in. The recaps are candid about what he is working on, and the titles say as much: "Learning to Take Less Trades", "Following My Rules for a Week of Trading (sorta)". He tests ideas in public too, among them the 5- and 15-minute time frames, a 1:1 risk-to-reward rule, scalping and a run on gold futures in the Asia session.
Funded accounts, run in sets
The account side follows the plan he wrote in 2024: a live account first, then demo trading, then prop firms. Since passing the Topstep 50K Combine in December 2024 he has traded evaluation and funded accounts at Topstep, MyFundedFutures, Alpha Futures, FundedNext and Lucid Trading. Through 2026 he has moved to running several accounts together, lately a set of five 50K accounts. When the overnight move allows, he banks the day’s profit in the Asia session. As of October 2026 he trades Lucid’s 50K Pro accounts on Tradovate, after earlier stints on NinjaTrader and TopstepX.
Payouts are planned around each firm’s rules. He tracks consistency rules closely, capping green days so that one big session does not hold up a withdrawal. He has also talked through adding a personal daily loss limit for the harder days. He shows the red weeks alongside the payouts, and that openness is the point of the channel.
