Who is Trades With Jess?
Jess, who publishes as Trades With Jess and uses only her first name, started trading futures on 28 November 2022 and uploaded her first video six weeks later: episode one of a $150,000 Apex Trader Funding challenge. That set the pattern for everything since. Where most trading channels show highlights, hers shows the whole arc: the evaluation, the funded account, the payout request and the confirmation email, firm after firm.
The result is the most complete public record of what it is actually like to trade prop-firm capital. Her "My Journey with…" series covers first payouts at Apex (August 2023, received within a week), TradeDay, MyFundedFutures, Topstep, Take Profit Trader, TickTickTrader, Bulenox, Tradeify and Lucid Trading, each with its own timeline of evaluations and resets. Around them sit long-running challenge series (the $150K Apex challenge, a road to a $10,000 payout month, the Tradeify "From Funded to Paid" run) and "Raw Talk" videos in which she thinks out loud about the work. Her most-viewed video is the one in which she walks through what a funded account taught her, which tells you what her audience values: candour.
She trades NQ and its micro contract intraday, during the US morning session, with a supply-and-demand method she has broken down on the channel: zones marked on the 5-minute and 1-minute charts, entries on break-and-retest of what she calls 90/60 and 80/20 levels, and scaling in on retests. She copy-trades the setup across a portfolio of funded accounts through Tradovate and TopstepX, journals and backtests on TradeZella, and shares her tracking spreadsheets free.
The prop-firm industry has noticed. In October 2025 TradeDay invited her into its inaugural Influencer Cup alongside twenty other creators, where she sat fourth on the leaderboard three days in. She has interviewed Leeloo’s chief executive, competed in MyFundedFutures’ tournament and broken rule-change news on X ahead of most outlets. Feedspot placed the channel at number 21 on its 2026 list of futures trading YouTubers, and her free TWJ Community Discord has close to 600 members.
What makes her rare is the balance she models. She describes herself as a "futures trader, entrepreneur, corporate girly", and she means all three. She has built the channel and a trading career alongside a professional life in customer support, and she talks openly about treating trading as a venture rather than an identity. In September 2026 she returned to live streaming with new videos on the way, and passed fresh Lucid and Tradeify evaluations the same month. For the thousands of traders working a day job and an evaluation at the same time, she is the creator who looks most like them.
How Jess trades
Supply and demand at the 90/60 and 80/20 levels
Jess marks supply and demand zones (the origins of fast moves) on the 5-minute chart, then drops to the 1-minute for entries. Her named plays, the 90/60 and 80/20 levels, are break-and-retest setups: price breaks a level, comes back to test it, and she enters on the retest with Fibonacci 38.2% and 50% pullbacks as reference points, scaling in if the level holds. Targets sit at the next zone or a higher-timeframe level.
She prefers the US morning session, which she says moves fast enough to suit her, and is clear that overnight sessions do not. She also documents her monthly backtests on TradeZella, with win rate, profit factor and reward-to-risk shown on screen.
One setup, many accounts
The prop-firm portfolio is the other half of the method. She runs the same trade across several funded accounts using Tradovate’s copy trader and TopstepX, and has traded stacks as large as twenty Apex accounts at once. She treats evaluations at different firms as separate experiments with their own rules, which is why her explainers on Topstep, Apex, Lucid, Tradeify, TradeDay and Alpha Futures policies are so widely watched.
