BEST KNOWN FOR

Simplified ICT and the prop-firm math behind it

Kimmel takes ICT’s vast curriculum and reduces it to three questions a trader answers before the open: which way, from where, and on what signal. His best-known videos pair that model with the working side of funded trading, from risk formulas and consistency-rule calculators to running twenty accounts through one trade copier. His condensed take on the ICT 2022 Mentorship, 26 hours squeezed into 21 minutes, drew close to 29,000 views in under four weeks.

Who is Kimmel Trading?

Kimmel Trading rests on a promise from the channel’s own description: to document his life while showing “the reality of trading. The wins, the losses, and everything in between.” Kimmel, who publishes under that name alone, has kept that promise for nearly seven years and 891 uploads. The result is half trading school and half travel diary. ICT tutorials, prop-firm risk formulas and payout walkthroughs sit beside week-in-the-life vlogs filmed in the UK, Portugal, Dubai, Norway and Japan. His stated goal is to help traders who have been struggling for years “finally become consistently profitable.”

The interest started early. At fifteen or sixteen he was watching personal-finance videos on YouTube. He once walked into a bank ready to invest a couple of hundred pounds, until a friendly banker showed him what the fees would eat. Forex found him later, as a student in the UK. He worked two jobs to pay his rent, then left university to trade, a choice he now tells viewers not to copy. Three years passed without a profitable result. He tried four strategies before ICT and paid for mentorships. He passed his first prop-firm challenge, only to lose the funded account, and months of backtesting followed. When his first payout finally arrived, he did not buy more challenges. He took his family out to dinner. By his own count, more than 200 payouts have followed.

ICT is the framework he credits, and he teaches it stripped to the bone. Every trade, he argues, rests on three first principles: direction, key levels and entry. He sets the bias on the daily and 4-hour charts by asking one question, “What is the market choosing to respect?” The 1-hour and 15-minute charts supply the order blocks and fair value gaps to trade from, and the 5-minute chart times the entry. In January 2026 he dropped EUR/USD and GBP/USD to trade the Nasdaq alone, because it moves at the open and is done within two hours. “Once I started only focusing on futures, this is when my stress levels really came down,” he said.

Alongside the channel runs Funded Trading Blueprint, the one-to-one mentorship he founded. Members get a market forecast every day and a breakdown of every trade he takes, “all the wins, all the losses, nothing is held back.” The free material is generous too. A twelve-part Trading Bootcamp, released over twelve days in March 2025, runs from market structure through fair value gaps, order blocks, daily bias and SMT. His free Telegram channel, Kimmel Trading Community, has about 3,600 members. He films with his community as well. In July 2026 he talked on camera with a member who went from cleaning floors to trading full time.

The cadence is steady, with two or three long-form videos most weeks and a “Week in the Life” vlog usually landing on a Monday. Since September 2026 those vlogs have followed his multi-day Nasdaq swing positions on his own broker account through every pullback and partial exit. Peers have noticed. Words of Rizdom seated him at its 2024 ICT roundtable beside JadeCapFX, NBB Trader and Ali Khan, and JadeCap, Garland Trader and Griff have all interviewed him. What he offers is trading as it really is, told by someone who spent three years working his way through it. His own summary fits on a sticky note: “No payout is a small payout.”

How Kimmel trades

Direction, key levels, entry

Kimmel works from the top down. On the daily and 4-hour charts he asks what the market is choosing to respect. A bullish market holds its bullish order blocks and fair value gaps without making lower lows, and a bearish market does the opposite. That read sets his daily and session bias. On the 1-hour and 15-minute charts he then marks the key levels he wants price to react from: order blocks, fair value gaps and swept highs or lows. He runs the same check again at 9:15 a.m. Eastern, before the New York open.

The entry comes on the 5-minute chart, sometimes the 1-minute. He waits for a manipulation against his bias, such as a dip into the level when he is bullish, then an engulfing candle that turns price back his way. The stop sits beyond that candle’s body. The target is usually the nearest internal-range liquidity, roughly 1.5 to 2R, because he would rather bank a reachable target than chase a big one. He frames the trade-off with his Trading Tri-Fecta of trade frequency, strike rate and risk-to-reward, which never all run high at once. “If you have a high risk-to-reward, you cannot have a high strike rate,” he told Griff in 2025.

Nasdaq only, and the prop-firm math

In January 2026 he stopped trading EUR/USD and GBP/USD and moved to the Nasdaq alone. His reasons are time, risk-to-reward and scalability. A profitable forex trade used to take him between four hours and two days, he says, while a Nasdaq trade at the open takes about 45 minutes. Sitting down at 9:30 a.m. to trade for an hour and a half is, in his words, “just pure bliss.” Students who cannot trade the open are still taught forex on the 1-hour and 15-minute charts.

The prop-firm side is arithmetic. He sizes each trade as a share of the account’s drawdown, sets daily targets from the firm’s consistency rule and publishes the formulas, spreadsheets and calculators that do the work. His October 2026 30-day payout system risks half the drawdown per trade, and he is upfront that this raises the chance of losing the account. Away from prop firms, he holds longer Nasdaq positions on his own broker account and scales out with partial exits. As with every trader profiled here, the approach is described from his own material and is not a recommendation; futures trading involves substantial risk of loss.
